Jr Bourne got his start
in acting at the age of 8 in the Calgary-shot,
13 part series Parent Puzzle but his reel
career didn't begin until the age of 25.
Fresh out of first year Ryerson Theatre
School, he landed a small part on Family
Passions. That small part grew into 15
episodes and an instant start in show
business. Later the same summer, he booked
his first starring role in the feature
film Jungleground.
Shortly after finishing
shooting, he moved to Vancouver, B.C..
He soon got a role on the TV series Strange
Luck. Soon to follow were roles on The
Sentinel, Millenium and Two. Next he was
given the recurring role of 'Elliot' on
Madison. Not long after, Bourne started
booking guest starring roles on such TV
shows as The Crow, Showtime's Dead Man's
Gun, Higher Ground, Call of the Wild and
MGM's Outer Limits. From there Bourne
had starring roles in many M.O.W.'s, including
Showtime's The Inspectors, ABC's Futuresport
and the CBS mini-series Aftershock: Earthquake
in New York City.
Jr has gone on to several
recurring roles on some of TV's most popular
shows. He is most well known as 'Martouf'
on MGM's Stargate SG-1, a character portrayal
that has garnered him a legion of international
fans. He also plays 'Matt Palladin' on
Bravo's Beggars and Choosers and , most
recently, he's brought to life the role
of 'Bobby Talisman' on the new television
series, Big Sound.
